Morgan is one of my favorite reporters/thinkers on this topic, and I enjoyed talking to her about the changing definitions of “public space” and the feud between Gen Z and Millennials. I’ve also loved Close All Tabs episodes on furry cemeteries and AI companions, which are well worth listening to!

Now, to the substance of this post. You may remember some of my previous posts here or on TikTok about Skibidi Toilet, surveillance, and cyborgs. These are topics dear to my heart and essential to a clear understanding of the present. Unfortunately, they are sorely understudied.

I am in talks with some entities to produce a pamphlet about Skibidi Toilet titled On Skibidi, as an attempt to make an intervention in the still-young field of Skibidi Studies. The idea here is that, if you are a paid subscriber and you’d like a pamphlet, you get one printed and shipped to you for free. I’ll coordinate logistics for this at a later date. I would hope for pamphlet delivery before the end of the year. I’ve been meaning to do something like this for a little while and concretize my thinking into a paper format.

Work will happen out in the open. I will show you pieces of it and brainstorming here as occasional paid posts — if you want to offer feedback, pushback, etc. please do. It’s one of the reasons having people who read or watch my stuff is such a blessing — I get the chance to bring other voices into my process, and I’ve found that very generative.
